Sword of the Wolf is back in action with Battlefield: Bad Company 2! It's been several years since SOW competed, but we finally found a game that's competition worthy; our first match is tonight vs. The Killing Crew.

We'd like to welcome back Paladin, the clan's founder, as well as a bunch of our beloved slackers, reprobates, deviants and scoundrels. It would not be the same without you.

So, without further ado, the heads are: BladeNY, Council, Devastator, Hump, Ifrix, Leorio, Maclean, Paladin and yours truely, Fumz. We're also looking to add Dawg to the mix... and I must say, the boy is good with the guns.

September 28th 2009 - Modern Warfare 2 Sparks Life in [SOW]

With the much anticipated release of Modern Warfare 2, steps are being taken to bring [SOW] to life. It has been about 2 years of dormancy, but many people have been stopping by to share their support for our return to the gaming community.

We are looking for long time [SOW] members and new recruits. I will provide regular updates to what is going on. If you need forum access, or have lost your log in information, please contact me.

April 2nd 2009 - Section 8 Next Big FPS?

On the war-torn planets of tomorrow, mankind's greatest battle is about to begin. With its frontier colonies devastated by a growing insurrection, Earth dispatches the elite 8th Armored Infantry (nicknamed "Section 8™") to repel the coming onslaught.

The nickname refers to an old United States military regulation where a soldier would be dismissed from service through being mentally unfit for duty. The near-suicidal missions that this division volunteers for brands them as insane by other military units.

Section 8 deploys by 'burning in' from their orbital drop ships tens of thousands of feet above the battlefield, utilizing the most advanced arsenal of military hardware known to man. Their mission: to scout and secure difficult objectives and smash enemy defenses in lightning-quick assaults.

An intense first-person shooter, Section 8 allows players to dynamically alter the flow of combat as they see fit. Employing tactical assets and on-demand vehicle deliveries, players are given unprecedented strategic control over epic sci-fi battlefields.

Get ready to burn-in trooper; the war begins in 2009.

April 2nd 2009 - Blowing the Dust Off!

In an attempt to get some old pals back on the playing field some of us have began to once again play BF2 and COD4. While we are hoping to get the core back online and get in some casual play, long term I am hoping this will begin to lay the foundation of the next Big FPS. September 12th 2007 - Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Demo Server

Sword of the Wolf hasn't participated in competion since our Battlefield 2 times, which is quiet a while ago. It has become a bit quiet around here, but the core members are still playing various games together ... not competitive though.

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars has always been a candidate for future competion. We already have a demo server running at 209.124.57.40, named "Sword of the Wolf [SOW]". Everyone is invited to join and to have some fun.

April 25th 2006 - CAL Season 3 begins.

Season 3 of CAL BF2 begins this Sunday night pitting Sword of the Wolf against the very talented Team Precision. We're very excited about the upcoming season being played on the new patch... which more or less translates into BF2 doesn't suck so hard anymore. o/

It's been a while since we've posted some news, so I will summarize. CAL BF2 Season 1 Sword of the Wolf made the playoffs, Season 2 we did not. However, we spent the off-season honing our team-work and we've made a few nice additions. Most notably with lilutfan at infantry and Firespear in gunner. These two really complement the rest of the team, who've found a renewed interest in the game. Welcome backs to Hangman, Skeksis, Sharkstooth and especially the one-and-only IP Freely, who's come back after a long hiatus from T1. We also want to welcome back Paladin, our fearless leader. We're all very excited he's finally back gaming with us.

Sadly, FRAG, our Wednesday weekly scrim partner, decided they no longer wish to participate in CAL 12 man. They were an integral part of the CAL BF scene and will surely be missed. GG'z FRAG. Thankfully, our old friends SYNERGY have stepped up to the plate to fill in that much needed scrim spot. We hope to have a good season together.

In other news, Sword of the Wolf has decided to remain on the TWL's 12 man ladder. Primarily used as a diversion, we've decided to stay because it's an excellent way of getting new recruits up to speed, and we've been fortunate enough to have many wish to join. Sword of the Wolf faces off against First Army this Week. At this point it's unclear whether we'll be playing the TWL map Karkand, or doing Mashtuur in prep for CAL. Either way, it will be good fun and a nice change of pace from the more pressured atmosphere of CAL.

More news to come more often this season. GG's to all the clans we've been fortunate enough to meet since the last posting.
